This Camp is for Rising 7th - 9th Graders (or other grades if you have at least one year of experience) who have studied their Band Instrument in the Middle School Band. Each day consists of a Master Class and Concert Band experience.

Keep the Music Going
Each day of Middle School Band Camp consists of Master Classes and Concert Band experiences, ending with a Concert for the entire family! Daily from Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20, 8:00 AM - 12 noon. The Camp Concert is Thursday night, June 20, 2024; time TBA.
Master Classes . . .
A Master Class is like a one-on-one private lesson with many students and one teacher. Learn about YOUR instrument from a Master.
Concert Band . . .
Perform in a Concert Band like no other. The Concert Band comprises all camp members and will rehearse music to perform at the end of the week.
Master Class Teachers
The Master Class Teachers are Band Directors and Private Instructors from the area, all instrument specialists. Let’s face it! Band Directors know how to play all the instruments because they learn that in college. But, they also learn to play ONE instrument well. So, each Master Class Teacher will teach the instrument they know well and can teach you things that only a specialist knows.
It’s a chance to learn many special things about your instrument from a Master.
Concert Band
The Concert Band will rehearse music you’ve never performed before. You will have players beside you whom you’ve never met, but everyone has something great to offer the group. By the end of the week, those pieces of music will be polished and ready to amaze not only your Moms and Dads but you, too! Then, you can return all that you learned at Middle School Band Camp to your Band in the Fall and show your friends. Not only are you a better player, but you are also helping everyone else to be a better player, which allows your band to be better!
The Camp Concert
The Camp Concert will be held in the evening on Thursday, June 20, and will be open to the public. More details will be announced before the Camp.
Depending on your age, consider one of our other camps! We have morning, afternoon, or evening camps!
FEE: $80 ea
What Does It Include?
The fee covers the costs of the Camp. Campers receive instruction, materials, and a Camp T-shirt to wear at the Camp Concert, which is theirs to keep.
STUDENTS NEED THEIR INSTRUMENTS; INSTRUMENTS ARE NOT PROVIDED.
All fees are due by June 7, 2024.
A $10 late charge will be applied to all registrations and balances received after June 7, 2024.
REFUNDS:
If a refund is requested BY June 7, 2024, it will be granted minus a $2.00 / camper Administration Fee. No refunds will be issued after June 7, 2024. Please call 540-692-3860 or e-mail director@fauquiermusic.net immediately if you wish to cancel. (Email is preferred).
A $30 fee will be charged for returned checks.
